loss of continuous power to trailer abs

Post by Donny Brown »

I have a 2007 w900 with a c15, and have recently lost power to my trailer for the ABS. I have checked the 7-pin outlet to the "pigtail", and found it to have no power. I have checked the fuses and relay, which appear to be functional. I am at a loss and hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Keep following the spark toward the source. Use a charge probe (or whatever it's called) and see if there's power to the fuse.

That definitely narrows it down. Now, it's a matter of tracing the wire back until you find power and either splice or replace the break. This is where your poke-it probe comes in handy.

Electricity is like water. It'll go where it's easiest to go. If there's a hole in the hose, the water will go out the hole instead of to the nozzle. You have to patch the hole or get a new hose.

Found the problem to be a bad circuit, repaired bad wiring.
